Large, air conditioned room with private bathroom, and amicable staff. Fantastic and stunning location, 10 minutes' walk to a pedestrian street.

The location was perfect for site seeing, very close to the metro and easy walking distance to all the major sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the accomodation felt secure.

It was noisy at night and early in the morning, due to the laminate floor in the hallways.

We arrived on Friday 07/05/2010 about 12;00 and the guy who was working that day was superb, friendely (well done). We didn't know we have to pay deposit (20 Euros) for control remote for tv and air-conditioner so on the day we are leaving we notice the housekeeper take the receive from the room and we went claim the money back and the guy working on the shift 10/05/2010 morning was very arrogant, rude, no manners... no more words to describe his attitude. So disappointed never again. Sweet couple

Great location. Right in the heart of the city center and easy to get to main sites - either walking or metro. Get what you pay for - small room, we had a bathroom which was very small. Wifi good in reception area.

Hot water runs out about noon, so could only have hot shower in morning. Bed sagged in middle so not great to sleep on.

the peace and quiety

The location of the hostel is great if you want to feel the city. It is almost on the Las Ramblas in the heart of the old city.

Be aware that on Friday and Saturday nights you might not be able to sleep at all, as under its windows are many bars and they play loud music until 6 in the morning.

The hotel was very clean, inexpensive and in a great location. I sleep like a log which is good as it can be noisy at night.

The bed was tiny.

the location of the hotel was perfect - the bathroom was clean the shower worked and provided hot water at a reasonable time of day (6:30am aint so certain but hey) the room was clean and everything that supposed to work like the window shutters worked and the double glazed windows kept the street noise which can become disturbing out! The security is good and the hotel staff are trustworthy. the room was cleaned and fresh towels distributed one large and one small. All these little things combine to make life easy.

The tv had no reception the furniture was old but clean the white figures on the two computer keyboards in the lobby had been wiped clean through over-use very frustrating and no joke if in a hurry - could pick but too petty to matter.

Convenient location with friendly staff

I recently enjoyed my stay, finding the location to be perfect, just a short walk to the Rambla and Boqueria Market. The staff was friendly and helpful. While my single room was comfortable with a nice layout and clean sheets, I did find the shared bathrooms to be a bit challenging at times. It was a solid choice for those looking to explore Barcelona without breaking the bank.

It was a COMFORTABLE experience. Everything was good, fantastic location near to metro Liceu in Barri Gotic, shops and the centre of La Ramblas district, pleasant staff. Great service was provided. Location in the heart of the city was a plus. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast.

The location was near perfect - staff were honest and amiable. It was clean and once the double glazed windows closed, quiet. The window shutters operated well also - things that were supposed to work - worked!

The furniture was old but clean - the pillow was a hard bloster - one twin squeaked and the matress was hard but sound. There was no clear tv reception even though a working tv was available.
